Why We Built This Site
Mississippi gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. In Claiborne County the Circuit Clerk handles felony and civil litigation in Circuit Court, issues marriage licenses, and keeps marriage records. The Chancery Clerk handles divorce, estates, guardianships, and land records, and also serves as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. The Sheriff's Office, led by Sheriff Edward Goods, runs the county jail and keeps the jail docket. Add the Mississippi Department of Corrections for sentenced state inmates and the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for driver and sex-offender records, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fees, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
